Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial venture Sultan has now on the way towards the wrap up at the box office. On 27th day, Salman Khan starrer sports-drama has managed to get in Rs 34 lakh and took its toll to Rs 297.20 crore.
Sultan’s box office collections now getting in lakhs and day by day, it shows a further loss due to the new releases and also because this is its 4th week in the office and in today’s point of time, it is very difficult for any film to sustain in the plexes for more than 2 weeks.
Gone are those days, when a Hindi film celebrated silver and golden jubilees. Now the entire focus of the filmmakers is to collect as much as possible from the first 2 weeks. Even for some movies, the first three days are very important to rake as much as they can.
Sultan has now inched closer to the magical 300 crore club and by the end of this weekend, it will become the third film after PK (Rs 340 crores) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320 crores) to enter this most anticipated club of the box office.
At worldwide basis, as of now, Sultan has so far collected Rs 570.19 crore that includes Rs 416.09 crore net plus Rs 154.10 crore from the overseas market.
It’s great but for sure, Sultan will not touch 600 crore mark which had been achieved by only two Bollywood films, PK (Rs 792 crores) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 626 crores).
