Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer superhero-based film A Flying Jatt has finished its first weekend with average numbers. It had an awesome opportunity to do well with extended 4 days opening weekend but it failed to capitalize well at the box office.
Remo D’Souza directorial had already started off on below par note with Rs 7.10 crores on Thursday, Rs 6 crores on Friday and Rs 7.35 crores on Saturday. This was not an ideal opening for Tiger Shroff starrer film as compared to his previous films.
It was expected that the numbers would shoot up on Sunday with a large number of children with their families would come to watch this desi Punjabi Jatt but the result is not pleasing and only Rs 9 crores have come. Now, it’s four days total box office collection stands at Rs 29.45 crores.
This is certainly not satisfactory figures for the makers and their plan of getting the extra advantage of an extra day hasn’t been executed on the mark.
In between this turmoil, the only pleasing thing to cheer for the makers is that A Flying Jatt has now entered the list of Top 10 highest opening weekend grossers of 2016 evicting Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt starrer Kapoor and Sons, which had collected Rs 26.35 crores in its opening weekend.
Now, the weekdays have come and the real test for A Flying Jatt is awaiting. By Today’s collections, the picture would be clear how far the film will go from here.
A Flying Jatt day-wise box office collections details:
Day 1 – 7.10 crores
Day 2 – 6 crores
Day 3 – 7.35 crores
Day 4 – 8.15 crores
Total – 29.45 crores
