Aamir Khan’s Dangal becomes second highest opening Day Grosser in China

India’s second highest grossing film Dangal (2016) has been released in China on 5th of May and its first-day collection shows Aamir Khan is really megastar. Nitesh Tiwari directed biographical sports drama leaves many Hollywood films behind and becomes second highest opening Day Grosser in China.

23 December 2016 release Hindi Film Dangal set several Box Office records and became Highest Grossing Hindi Film and second Indian film after recent release Historical action drama Baahubali 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017) is on top of highest opening Day Grosser foreign cinema film while Aamir Khan’s Dangal becomes second highest opening Day Grosser in China. Dangal opened very well and earned Rs 13.19 crore means China’s audiences liked this heart touching journey of a sports family.

Dangal took the second position and leaves Hollywood Popular movies Shock Wave, Battle Of Maroons, The fate of the furious, This is Not What I expected, Love Off the Cuff, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Mr. Pride vs Miss Prejudice, The Blood Hound respectively at China Box Office.

Aamir Khan’s biggest blockbuster Dangal is the second film released in China, before comedy drama PK (2014) earned Rs 100 Crore at China Box Office. Dangal got an amazing start, all set to break PK records.

Dangal is inspired by a true story or reveals the story of wrestler family in Haryana where a father trained his daughters for wrestling and later they won several medals for their country.

Geet Phogat and Babita Kumari Phogat are two successful Indian wrestlers and this film based on them. Aamir Khan played their on-screen father who was also a wrestler. Aamir Khan’s transformation as young Mahavir Singh Phogat to aged Mahavir Singh Phogat is just outstanding in this film.
