Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira has remained steady on the 5th day at the box office. This action-drama has collected Rs 2.40 crores On 1st Tuesday and taken its overall total box office collections to Rs 22.45 crores.
After performing above average on its first weekend, Akira has kept steady on the first two weekdays. Despite the limited release, the film hasn’t shown a big fallout in working days, which means people are coming to the theatres in good numbers, unlike the expectations.
Sonakshi Sinha, who has made his comeback on silver screens after a gap of 20 months, is getting warm appreciation from the audience for his portrayal of a brave girl, who fights against the corrupt system of the country.
Sonakshi’s last few films had not done well at the box office, so these results will now give so much satisfaction to the Dabangg girl.
Akira is now heading towards its opening week at the box office and with the current flow, its total first weekend collections would be around Rs 25 to 26 crores, which is practically very good.
The overall budget in the making of Akira inquired around Rs 30 crores and it seems that it will go past by this figure at the end of its second weekend.
