Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho has finally hit the screens yesterday but the first-day box office collections report of the film is not something as per the expectations.
According to the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Baar Baar Dekho has collected Rs 6.81 crores on the first day at the Indian box office. This is certainly a below par opening for Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar’s joint venture.
Directed by debutant Nitya Mehra, Baar Baar Dekho is a romantic- drama based on time and travel. Sidharth and Katrina have paired up for the first time together.
Baar Baar Dekho has opened with average occupancies around 25 to 30 percent in the morning shows. Due to the mixed reviews from the critics, it’s been an average turnout till afternoon but as the day progressed, there was not shown any decent growth and not a single theatre in the country have gone house full.
#BaarBaarDekho was decent at select plexes… Will have to show substantial growth on Sat+Sun to stay afloat… Fri ₹ 6.81 cr. India biz.

If we talk about the box office records, Baar Baar Dekho has failed to get the place in the list of Top 10 highest opening day grossing Bollywood films of 2016. Even a super flop adult comedy of the year Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 had performed better than Baar Dekho.
This is surely not an ideal start for a film, which has been made with the budget of around Rs 50 crores. The coming first weekend is now very crucial for Baar Baar Dekho because it has to show a healthy growth on Saturday and Sunday to cover up the opening day loss.
Baar Baar Dekho day-wise box office collections report:
Day 1 – Rs 6.81 crores
Total – Rs 6.81 crores
