Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi, that was released last week, has done fantastic business at the close of its first weekend. Baaghi, which was believed to be low on story basis, has finished its first weekend with the mind-blowing total of Rs 38.58 crore.

On Friday, when Baaghi hit the theatres with more than 3500 screens, the film critics slammed the director and called it an outdated story with the overloaded action. Most of the big filmy pundits gave negative reviews to the film and it seemed that the box office will also reflect the same, but surprisingly, all went opposite to what all thought.
Baaghi opened on Friday with mind blowing numbers of Rs 11.94 crore that was pretty well as most of the film this year was not able to open with double figures. Saturday was also steady and the film had fetched Rs 11.13 crore that was little low as compared to day one. The real magic that Baaghi has shown was on Sunday, when it collected Rs 15.51 crore, which is far better than what we had expected.
This Sabbir Khan directorial has proved that sometimes few magnificent moments in the film overpowered and covered the weak points of the film and Baaghi is heading towards on that note.
If we talk about the box office records, Baaghi has now become 3rd highest first weekend grosser behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan (Rs 52.35 crore) and Airlift (Rs 44.30 crore). Besides this, it has also surpassed Mastizaade (Rs 38.42 crore) to become 8th highest grosser of 2016.
Now, after this stellar and unexpected show at the box office, Baaghi has again opened the race of highest grosser’s list, but it is interesting to see whether the film has held steady in the weekdays too and we hope that it will not go on the way of SRK’s Fan, which, after getting dream start falls down badly in the week days and now it is crowing towards 100 crore club and most probably it will not even close to that mark.
