One more weekend of 2016 has gone past, but the new movies released in this weekend hasn’t gone well at the box office, but last to last week released romantic-action film Baaghi continue to do well. At the end of its second weekend, Baaghi overall collected Rs 7.91 crores and reached to Rs 67.63 crore while 1920 London has failed to make a mark and kept low on its first weekend.
Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi is still going really well at the box office. On 2nd Friday, Baaghi had collected Rs 2.31 crore. Saturday showed a little growth in the numbers and the film fetched Rs 2.43 crore, while Sunday,as expected has the biggest among these and Rs 3.17 crores has been getting in which shows that Baaghi is getting so much love from the audience despite its poor reviews and the major critics of the B-Town had questioned on the film’s story and called it outdated but thanks to some breathtaking action-sequences by Tiger and Shraddha, which kept hold the nerves of the people and they enjoyed the film.

Now, Baaghi is just few crores away to cross the lifetime numbers of Kapoor and Sons (Rs 73.03 crores) and Neerja (Rs 75.61 crores). There are not any big releases in the last week, so it will easily cross these numbers within 3 or 4 days from now and becomes third highest grosser of the year behind Airlift (Rs 127.80 crore) and Fan (Rs 84.10 crore).
On the other hand, the other Bollywood releases last week have not done even par at the box office. Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 London has just managed to collect Rs 8 crore in its first weekend, while Sunny Leone’s bold-thriller One Night Stand have collected around Rs 2.25 crore. The worst numbers among them are of Manoj Bajpai’s critically acclaimed film Traffic which has only done a business of just Rs 1.50 crores.
Well, in between these Bollywood flick, Hollywood superhero film Captain America: Civil War, which also releases on last Friday, has done wonders at the box office. At the end of its first weekend in India, it has performed out of the box and collected Rs 27.13 crore, which is simply magnificent.
