Varun Dhawan and John Abraham starrer action flick Dishoom has remained steady on 2nd Friday at the domestic box office. On 8th day at the office, Dishoom has managed to collect around Rs 2.5 crore, thus taking its overall figures to Rs 55.84 crore.
Dishoom has entered into its 2nd week and just like the first week, it has to hold well to get closer to 75 crore mark. Once again, the weekend is back and with not much healthy competition from the new releases, Dishoom has a chance to collect as much as possible.
This Rohit Dhawan directorial will definitely cross 60 crore mark by the end of the 2nd weekend and then heading towards the next target but it will only have one more week to rake whatever it can because two biggest films of the year are arriving on 12th of August.
Akshay Kumar starrer crime-thriller Rustom and Greek God Hrithik Roshan’s epic pre-historical drama Mohenjo Daro will hit the screens on the same day, which will surely outshine the possibilities of Dishoom to survive more.
Meanwhile, Dishoom has also shown its magic in the overseas market. At the end of week one, it has collected Rs 20.06 crores, that is pretty well numbers for this Sajid Nadiadwala production venture.
As of now, the next big chase for Dishoom is to surpass the lifetime total of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Udta Punjab (Rs 59.60 crore) and it will successfully do so by tomorrow.
