Directed by Rohit Dhawan, who earlier started his career with successful film Desi Boyz (2011) is again back with multi starer action-adventurous-thriller called Dishoom. Rohit’s younger brother and actor Varun Dhawan and John Abraham are playing the main leads along with Jacqueline Fernandez.
Dishoom, which is made with the budget of around Rs 62 crores, is releasing in about 3000 screens in India plus 700 screens in abroad, that is certainly massive numbers and as it is a mainstream masala entertainer with all the ingredients like action, drama, comedy, and romance. So, we can expect a thunderous start on the first day.
Already, the entire team of Dishoom including the main leads plus Rohit has been doing in and out promotions for the past few weeks and its songs have already created lots of buzz among the audience, especially that item number Jaaneman Aah featuring Parineeti Chopra had received millions of hits on YouTube.

So, the stage is set for Dishoom, and as per the earlier estimates, Dishoom is going to open with the occupancies around 40-50% in the big grossing centers of North India. With almost zero competition, as Sultan has almost finished its run in its 4th week and Rajinikanth’s Kabali doesn’t affect much in North Indian region, Dishoom will probably get a start of around Rs 9 -10 crores, which will be a decent start.
Meanwhile, If it gets the support of the positive reviews and good word of mouth, Dishoom will gain in the coming weekend and it might finish its first weekend around Rs 30-35 crores.
One luck factor is also with Dishoom. Varun, who had started his career with Karan Johar’s hit new-age romantic-dram Student of the Year (2012) never gave a flop in his 4 years of career. His every film had been so far come out as a profitable affair for the producers, so, we hope Dishoom will also result the same.
