The story of Laal Rang revolves around Haryana’s district Karnal, where Shankar (Randeep) is the running the syndicate of illegal smuggling of human blood. He himself does diploma from a medical college and side by side manages the racket of blood smuggling from the blood bank of the college. Rajesh (Akshay Oberoi) and Poonam Sharma (Pia Bajpai) take new admissions in the college and fall in love with each other. Later on, Rajesh comes in contact with Shankar and join this blood smuggling to earn money. Gajraaj Singh (Rajneesh Duggal), who is the Police inspector of this area gets know about this all and starts searching the accused. Whether Gajraaj Singh will catch Shankar and his group members to stop this illegal activity in the town, to know this, you have to watch the film.
Script is the backbone of every film and here also the story is inspired by the real life incidents which hold the grip throughout the entire duration of the film. The cinematography is really outstanding and full mark goes to the director. The use of Drone camera is fantastic and you will amaze to see some brilliant scenes. Screen play and dialogues are also good but the length of the film after the first half is too long and it had easily been cut shorted.
Randeep Hooda is known for his versatile acting skills and here also he is in his best as the character of Haryanvi person. He is originally from Haryana, so it is quite easy for him to catch the Haryanvi accent and style. Pia Bajpai is looking good and specially her way of talking in English is superb. The other actors Akshay Oberoi, Rajneesh Duggal and Meenakshi Dixit have also given their best to portray their roles honestly.
The only drawback of the film as I said earlier is the editing. Some scenes are too long and useless and if they had not been the part of the film, this will surely go to another level.
Although, Laal Rang is not a kind of film filled with superstars, but if you love to watch outstanding story and some finest performances and above all if you are the fan of Randeep Hooda, this one is certainly a must watch film for you. Go and enjoy the film.
My Rating to Laal Rang is 3 out of 5 stars.
