Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is well known for his unique and non-commercial films, is ready with his upcoming crime-thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the main lead. Anurag has unveiled the first posters of the film on his Twitter account.
The first poster shows a blood filled road and there you can see a dead body lying in the street. The second one showcases a water tap in the shape of a pistol pouring blood out of it.
The third poster unveils the first look of Nawaz in the dreadful and scary look having blue face with red eyes and he is trying to show his anger in this different way. In the background, various bloody iron rods are seen which means he is a serial killer.
Raman Raghav 2.0 is inspired by the real life killer. It is based on the notorious serial killer Raman Raghav, who was active during mid 1960s in Mumbai. Raman, who was a psychopathic serial killer, has killed as many as 30 people. All the murders he took place at night and used hard-hitting blunt object. Nawazuddin is playing the lead role of Raman in the film which is going to be dark, gritty and violent.
This is another intense and thrilling role accepted by Nawazuddin, who is popular for his choice of projects. His last film Manjhi-The Mountain Man (2015) was appreciated by the audience and critics. The character of Raman Raghav is a big challenge for him as this is a kind of grey shade in it. Although, in Badlapur (2015) he already portrayed the negative character but this is totally different as compared to that role.
Produced by Anurag Kashyap under his production banner Phantom Films and is slated to hit the screens on 24th June 2016.
