Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor, who fought a long legal battle with his husband Sanjay Kapur has finally separated with him. Both Karishma and Sanjay have mutually decided to end this unsuccessful 12 years of relationship.
Karishma yesterday reached Mumbai’s local court and dismissed all the cases droved against him. According to the close sources, all the financial and custody related matters have been sorted out. Sanjay’s lawyer Aman Hingorni confirmed the news and said that the family court has accepted the mutual settlement between Sanjay and Karishma.
In 2014, both had filed the divorce petition which they given back later due to their personal differences. Sanjay then filed a new petition for judicial separation to which Karishma registered dowry harassment case against her mother-in-law.
It is known that Sanjay, who is a Delhi based rich businessman had married to Karishma Kapoor in 2003 but all not went well between them and in few months, things became worse. Delhi High Court had advised them for mutual settlement which they refused.
In 2010, Karishma left Sanjay’s Delhi home and settled in Mumbai. After that both had decided to take divorce and filed the petition to end their 12 years long relationship. They have two children who will now live with their mother and could meet to their father for 2 to 30 months in a year, as per the order given by the court.
Sanjay had accused Karishma to use the children as a shield for the money. Sanjay also told that Karishma had stopped their children to meet their father when he was not well.
Now, Sanjay will take care of all the financial needs of their children Samaira (11) and Kian (6). It is also saying that Karishma will receive a heavy amount from Sanjay in the form of compensation.
