Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has landed in trouble. His upcoming crime-thriller Raees, which is inspired by life of Gujarat based underworld Don Abdul Latif is currently under making process. Now, Don Latif’s son Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh has sent legal notice to Shah Rukh and 9 other people related to the film, including director Rahul Dholakia and producers Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani for harming personal sentiments.
According to the sources, the notice sent by Mushtaq’s lawyer comprises that the story of Raees is based on the life of Abdul Latif. He said that Latif was a businessman but the film showcases him as an underworld Don which clearly disrespects him and his family. He also accused the makers of Raees not to take permission before start filming.
He further added that on many occasion, he called the makers to have a meeting with them, but they hadn’t ready to meet. He has now wants to get share from the rights of the film.
On the other hand, director Rahul Dholakia has cleared that his film is not related to the life of Abdul Latif and it’s just a fictional character based on a Gujarati bottlelegger played by Shah Rukh Khan.
Well, this is not the first time that SRK’s Raess got into controversy. Its last schedule shot in Ahmadabad and Kach was protested by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and King Khan’s car also got damaged by some stone pelters. It was also due to his November’s controversial intolerance statement.
Now, all eyes are on Shah Rukh Khan and the makers of Raees, how they will reply to this notice by Latif’s son.
Raees, which also have Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, is scheduled to release on Eid 2016 and will have a biggest clash with Salman Khan starrer wrestling based film Sultan.
