Right from day one, Ashutosh Gowariker directorial period-drama Mohenjo Daro is disappointing the fans through its shocking box office performance. Hrithik Roshan starrer film has not shown any growth on after the end of its 2nd weekend at the office.
On its 10th day, Mohenjo Daro has collected a mere Rs 1.55 crores and its total box office collections have now somehow reached to Rs 55.06 crores, which is too low from the expectations. It seems now that the film has finally surrendered at the box office.
In its entire 2nd weekend, Mohenjo Daro has just managed to collect Rs 3.88 crores, which is too less than the total of the new released low budget film Happy Bhag Jayegi, which brought in Rs 10.71 crores from its opening weekend.
It looks that Mohenjo Daro’s ship has been sunk in the powerful storm of Rustom, which was also released on the same day. While Rustom has crossed 100 crore mark in record 9 days, Mohenjo Daro is about to pack its bag in less than 2 weeks, this is certainly out of imagination.
The reports from overseas markets are somehow better as compared to its horrendous show in Indian market. After the end of 2nd weekend, Mohenjo Daro has collected Rs 26.20 crores, thanks to the enormous fan following of Hrithik Roshan.
Well, the time has come for Mohenjo Daro to say the final goodbye to the box office and with the way it is going in between the solid performance of Happy Bhag Jayegi, it will surely evict by this week.
