Hrithik Roshan and Ashutosh Gowariker’s second collaboration venture Mohenjo Daro has further dropped on 8th day at the domestic box office. Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde starrer film has just raked around Rs 1.75* crores and pushed its total collections to around Rs 52.93* crores.
This pre-historic period-drama has become a huge financial loss for the producers, who invested around Rs 120 crores to the film and it comes out as the biggest disappointment for all.
Within one week of its release, Mohenjo Daro is looking to wrap up its lifetime run in few more days, which is a big thing of concern for the makers. One thing is surely proved after the plight of the film is that merely a big superstar with big banner and huge expense cannot alone is the guarantee of success for a film. The script and story is also matters a lot.
Already Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has created so much hurdles for Mohenjo Daro and now another new release of the week Happy Bhag Jayegi, which got positive reviews from the critics will surely increase the pressure to the film.
Now, it seems that Mohenjo Daro will end its lifetime run around 60 crores and would surely pack the bags by next week. This is also the biggest shock for Hrithik Roshan, whose past films had done super business at the box office.
