Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde featuring Mohenjo Daro have opened on a very good note. The 1st day collections of Mohenjo Daro has kept around Rs 8.87 crore , which is not satisfactory numbers for the makers.
Ashutosh Gowariker directed Mohenjo Daro, which is based on ancient Indus Valley civilization, has released around 3000 screens in India. It is 1000 more than Rustom plus it also got the support of single screens theaters.

Mohenjo Daro has shown 40-50% occupancies throughout the day in multiplexes and the single screens too. Although, the critics across the country had come up with mixed reviews to the film bit Hrithik Roshan’s mass appeal and his comeback after 2 years has made the way for Mohenjo Daro.

Hrithik Roshan is playing the character of a farmer Sarman in the film and his aim is to protect the Mohenjo Daro town from the enemies. Model turned actress Pooja Hegde is making her Bollywood debut with Mohenjo Daro opposite Hrithik Roshan.
According to the reports, Mohenjo Daro has collected Rs 6.82 crore in overseas on the first day, this is far better than domestic numbers.
Meanwhile, Mohenjo Daro has also released around 800 screens in abroad but the box office report from overseas is yet to be released. Hrithik has a fantastic fan following in overseas. His last few film including Bang Bang (2014) and Krrish 3 (2013) had received tremendous response from the overseas audience.
