Now, after 8 years, he once again collaborated with Hrithik in his dream project called Mohenjo-Daro based on Indus valley civilization. Let’s go through Mohenjo Daro movie review and find out the pros and cons of this historical drama.
Mohenjo Daro’s story was set in around 2600 BC ago when the people were living under Indus Valley Civilization. At that period, a boy Sarman (Hrithik) from a small village Aamri is living with his Kaka (Nitish Bharadwaj) and Kaki. One day, Sarman goes to a big city Mohenjo Daro for the business purpose.
There he meets a beautiful girl Chaani (Pooja Hegde), who is the daughter of a powerful man Meham (Kabir Bedi). Sarman falls in love with Chaani but Meham wants to govern entire Mohenjo Daro with the help of his powers. His son Moonja (Arunoday Singh) also involves in this conspiracy.
Now Sarman is in big trouble. On one side, He has his love Chaani and on the other hand, he has to secure Mohenjo Daro from Meham. In between this, he gets to know some hidden facts about the city. What will happen next? Will Sarman able to protect Mohenjo Daro? This you will know after watching the film.

The makers have done lots of research on this historical subject which also shows on the screen. The screenplay and dialogues written by Ashutosh Govarikar are brilliant but the historical fact with quite a long duration will let you bore. At one point of time, it seems like an episode.
Mohenjo Daro is a one man show and i.e. Hrithik Roshan. He truly deserves standing ovation for this stellar performance. Hrithik is among those few actors of the B-Town who takes enough to sign a film but once he gives his nod to a project he always gives his best.
For his die-hard fans, this is certainly treated to watch him on the silver screens after 2 years. Pooja Hegde is making her Bollywood debut but she hasn’t looked as a newcomer and performed brilliantly. The rest of the star cast have given their best.
The drawback with Mohenjo Daro is its too long length after the interval. It might get your force to check your mobile as you will probably bore with the historic content.
Mohenjo Daro is surely for a must watch for Hrithik’s fans and those who loves this kind of historic dramas but if you are expecting something out of the box thing from it, you might come out with disappointment.
My Ratings to Mohenjo Daro is 2.5 out of 5 stars.
