One of the biggest honor for Bollywood actors is Dada Saheb Phalke Award. The finest actress Shabana Azmi, superstar Shahrukh Khan like big names received this award in past. Now This Pink Actress will receive The Dada Saheb Phalke Award on 21st April.
Kriti Kulhari, who played the role of Falak Ali in 2016’s successful film Pink, the film recently received National Award for the best film based on social issues and she played an important role along with Taapsee Pannu and Andrea Tariang.
Her supporting role in Pink (2016) was really an award deserving performance. So the prominent filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s eyes went on her and cast the actress in Indu Sarkar.
Kriti Kulhari is playing a lead role in upcoming political drama Indu Sarkar (2017) is all set to be released in July this year. The film shows time of Emergency 1975 and Neil Nitin Mukesh is playing the role of Sanjay Gandhi in the film.
She started her career in Bollywood through comedy Hindi film Khichdi: The Movie (2010) then noticed for her role in thriller Shaitaan (2011) and did few unnoticed films.
The actress is pleased to receiving this highest honor and said “I am thankful to the Dadasaheb Phalke team for recognizing and appreciating the actor in me. I will always be extremely grateful and proud that I got to be a part of a phenomenon called, PINK“.
Social issues based Pink actresses Kriti Kulhari and Taapsee Pannu are well noticing for their work. Taapsee did a solo film Naam Shabana (2017) and now Kriti is going to dramatic Indu Sarkar.
