Priyanka Chopra is going to produce a Bengali- Marathi film, based on Rabindranath Tagore’s love life. Once Rabindranath Tagore fell in love with his teacher and later he described her in one of his poems. We will see his interesting journey of the great poem in this film.
More about the story of the film, it will be an idealistic love story, it set on 1878 when Tagore was 17 years old use to stay with Dr Atmaram Padurang Turkhud in Mumbai. Annapurna was 20 years daughter of Dr Atmaram Padurang and just returned from London. She had good command in English, she became the tutor of Rabindranath Tagore and from that point, their love story began.

The story of the film was written by Sagarika, wife of National Award Winner Director Ujjwal Chatterjee. Ujjwal told Mumbai Mirror that the story flows from the point of view of a young modern student, sees the picture of Annapurna with title ‘Nalini’ and casting of the movie is in progress. Two years back, They met Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s Mother and discussed this project with her. Madhu Chopra said that Nalini is an entertaining subject with great potential and they are happy to be associated with such project. The casting of the movie is still in process and as expected the film will start by October this year.

Earlier, Priyanka produced a Marathi film Ventilator and it was widely appreciated and later won National Awards this year.
