Academy award winner A.R. Rahman is going to attend 70th Cannes Film Festival on 17th of May for his upcoming project ‘Sangamithra’. Rahman will take part in the opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival along with the lead cast, director, and producers of ‘Sangamithra’. On his participation in Cannes for ‘Sangamithra’, Rahman stated, “I’m very excited working on this ambitious project ‘Sangamithra’. I am looking forward to joining the team at Cannes.”
‘Sangamithra’ is a trilingual film, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and the movie stars Shruti Haasan in the lead role, alongside Jayam Ravi and Arya. It is directed by Sundar C and produced by Thenandal Studios. Chairman, Managing Director of Thenandal Studios make a statement about this big project and said “’Sangamithra’ is an ambitious epic period movie and we are so proud to have on board India’s pride, leading music composer A.R. Rahman for this. “This is a very prestigious project for us and The Cannes unveil with Rahman sir, Sabu sir, Sundar sir and the entire cast is just the beginning of the many milestones that ‘Sangamithra’ is going to achieve with time.”
