It’s been 10 years completed of director Rohit Shetty’s most popular comedy franchise Golmaal (2006), which has received enormous love from the audience. On this special occasion, Rohit gave a big surprise to his fans by announcing fourth installment of this franchise titled Golmaal again, which will hit the screens in Diwali 2017.

In a recent conversation with the media, Rohit said that his team will kick off the rolling of Golmaal again in October and it will ready to hit the screens on the big day of Diwali 2017.
According to Rohit, whose last film Dilwale featured Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol was the big box office grosser, most of the star cast including Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade are reprising their roles.
However, this time Rohit is searching for a fresh face as female lead because Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was there in the previous two parts, is pregnant and about to deliver her first child in December, so she opt out of the film.
Golmaal is the superhit comic franchise that was started off by Rohit in 2006, when he had come up with the first film of the series. It got wonderful response by the audience and also box office success.

Post this success, Rohit had made Golmaal Returns (2008) and Golmaal 3 (2010) which also resulted in big box office gainers. Golmaal 3 was the first comedy film to enter 100 crore club.
Since Golmaal 3, people have been waiting for the next part for so long but Rohit got busy in his other projects like Singham (2011), Bol Bachchan (2012), Singham Returns (2013) and Dilwale.
Now, finally he has found the time and script of the fourth part and is ready to commence the filming in October.
Ajay, who has been associated with Rohit in so many hit films like Zameen, Golmaal series and Singham series is also very happy about Golmaal Again.
Earlier, it was said that Ajay wanted to start working on the sequel of Son of Sardaar, which was supposed to release in Diwali 2017, but now all speculations have come to rest.
Ajay’s next film Shivaay, which he directs as well is slated to release on 28th October 2016 on Diwali.
