Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom has kept steady on its 11th day at the box office and collected around Rs 2.75* crores on 2nd Monday. Now, its total box office collections have reached to Rs 110.77* crores.
With this, Tinu Suresh Desai directorial Rustom has beaten the lifetime total of Akshay’s last release Housefull 3 (Rs 108 crores) and becomes third highest Bollywood grosser of the year after Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 300.85 crores) and Airlift (Rs 127.80 crores).
Neeraj Pandey’s produced crime thriller Rustom, which also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Arjan Bajwa in crucial characters now also become the 4th most profitable film with the profit percentage of 169 % behind Neerja (260%), Sultan (234%) and Airlift (219%).
Made with the budget of just Rs 40 crores including advertisement and promotions expenses, Rustom has so far made a healthy revenue of around Rs 70 crores, which means it is on the way to become superhit film.
This outstanding result has come when it had to clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro, which was the most anticipated film of the year. But Akshay Kumar starrer has turned the tables and comes out as a winner.
In overseas too, Rustom is going too strong and so far collected Rs 32.34 crores. At Worldwide, Rustom’s total box office collections have now reached to a whopping total of Rs 187 crores.
