Akshay Kumar’s crime-thriller Independence day released Rustom has entered into its 3rd Monday at the box office. On the 18th day, for the very first time, Rustom’s collections has brought down under crores and around Rs 75* lakhs have come. Its overall box office collections have now reached to the total of Rs 123 crores.
Tinu Suresh Desai’s directorial Rustom has got off to its 3rd week and from now onwards each day will be very important for the film.
If Rustom wants to be Akshay’s 2nd highest career grosser after Rowdy Rathore (Rs 131 crores), it has to still steady throughout the week and then hope to scale down Airlift (Rs 127.84 crores) at the end of the 4th weekend.
If we talk about worldwide markets, Rustom has so far collected around Rs 208 crores which include Rs 172 crores grossed from India and Rs 36 crores from overseas markets.
This is now the second film of Akshay Kumar after Rowdy Rathore (2012) to get past 200 crore mark globally. Akshay is currently skying high with back to back grand box office success.
About the profits, Rustom has gained around 207 % profits from the domestic markets which kept it on 4th position of the most profitable movies of 2016 behind Neerja, Sultan, and Airlift.
