Akshay Kumar starrer crime-thriller Rustom has finally crossed Rs 209 crores mark after the end of 3rd week. On 21st day i.e. its 3rd Thursday, Rustom has managed to collect approx Rs 30 lakhs and pushed its overall box office collections to Rs 124.50 crores.
With this, Neeraj Pandey’s production venture Rustom has got past Rs 209 crore mark in 3 weeks. This is surely a big achievement for the entire team as the film has become a hugely profitable venture for the makers.
Rustom so far has collected around Rs 174.30 crores grossed in India and Rs 35.50 crores have come from the International markets. As of now, the Worldwide collections of Rustom stand at Rs 209.80crores, which is simply magnificent for a film, that was made with a mere budget of Rs 40 crores.
The profit percentage of Rustom has powered to 211% and in this scale, the film is only short behind Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja (260%), Salman Khan’s Sultan (234%) and Akshay’s own film Airlift (219%).
With the current going, it will surely cross Airlift’s margin and become 3rd most profitable film of 2016.
Meanwhile, in between these motivated figures, one more good news is coming towards Rustom. Even, after Sonakshi’s Akira hit the screens yesterday, around 525 screens has been allotted to Rustom into its 4th week, which means there is one more week for Rustom to gain as much as possible.
It is now only 4 crores away from Airlift (Rs 127.84 crores) to become 2nd highest grosser of 2016.
