Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey’s third successful collaboration venture Rustom is still breathing at the box office. On its 25th day (4th Monday), this crime-thriller has collected approx Rs 18 lakhs and brought up its overall box office collections to Rs 126.20 crores.
Rustom has now come on the edge of its packup from the theatres. On this coming Friday, there are two big films Sidharth-Katrina’s Baar Baar Dekho and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Freaky Ali is hitting the silver screens.
This will definitely make sure the end of Rustom’s theatrical run. But the unfortunate thing for the film is that it might not surpass Akshay’s Airlift (Rs 127.84 crores) to become 2nd highest box office grosser of the year.
Still, it has required another Rs 1.64 crores to cross the barrier but the with the current going, it is almost impossible for Rustom to do so. It requires at least 55-60 lakhs on each day to get past Airlift’s total, which will not come true.
Rustom’s lifetime collections would be around Rs 127 crores, which is simply magnificent feat for Akshay as his three films are among Top 5 highest grossers of the year.
As of now, Rustom’s worldwide total box office collections stand at Rs 211 crores, out of which Rs 35.50 crores have come from overseas markets and around Rs 175 crores (gross) have been nurtured from Indian circuits.
