Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has successfully finished its 4th weekend at the Indian box office. On 24th day, Rustom has collected approx Rs 55* Lakhs and now its total box office collections have reached to Rs 125.95* crores.
Tinu Suresh Desai’s directorial Rustom, which was released on this year’s Independence Day has so far become one of the most profitable ventures for the producers.
Made with the nominal budget of Rs 40 crores, Rustom has so far gained a profit close to 214%. This is currently 4th most profitable film of the year after Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja (260%), Sultan (234%) and Airlift (Rs 219%).
With the way, it is going, there is surely one more week left for the film as Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira hasn’t shown much acceptance by the audience. So, Rustom will be screened in a good number of theatres till this Friday as Sidharth-Katrina starrer Baar Baar Dekho is arriving on 9th September.
After breaking so many box office records, the only one last but biggest record is still on the cards. Just Rs 1.50 crores more and Rustom will be the second highest Bollywood grosser of 2016 beating Airlift (Rs 127.84 crores). Salman’s Sultan is holding the number one position at the moment with a whopping total of Rs 300.65 crores.
At the worldwide, Rustom has pushed its overall collections to Rs 211 crores, which include around Rs 175.70 crores grossed from India and approx Rs 36 crores from overseas markets.
