Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar has shared Rustom posters on his Twitter handle. Rustom is a thriller in which he is playing the role of a naval officer for the very first time.
Although, Akshay had earlier played the Army officer and an Intelligence officer’s role recently in Holiday (2014) and Baby (2015) but this will be a new experience for Airlift actor to play a Navy personal.
Akshay took to Twitter to share these Rustom posters which shows his new look in navy uniform along with the moustache. In the background, actress Ileana D’ Cruz is also seen, who is playing the female lead in the film.

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, Rustom is the story sets in 1950’s and inspires by a real incident. It is also said that Rustom is the story based on the 1959 Nanavati case in which Navel officer Kavas Maneckshaw Nanavati was murdered his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja.
This is also another sensitive issued tried by Akshay and now for the past few films, He is trying to show his multi talented nature with the films like Baby (2015), Gabbar (2015), Airlift (2016) and now Rustom.

Akshay also mentioned in his recent tweet in which he shared the third poster of Rustom. He wrote that Rustom’s patriotism and integrety were questioned. Did he fight back?
For Akshay, 2016 starts with a bang after Airlift become the first film of the year to get past 100 crore club. Currently, Airlift is the highest grosser of the year with over Rs 130 crore collections.
Rustom, which is produced by Neeraj Pandey, who earlier worked with Akshay in Special 26 (2013) and Baby, is slated to release on 12th August 2016 along with Hrithik Roshan starrer period drama Mohenjo Daro.
