Salman Khan pays tribute to his friend Rajjat Barjatya on his demise

Bollywood’s Dabangg actor Salman Khan has so many friends in the industry. His one of very good friend Rajjat Barjatya, who was MD and CEO of Rajshri Media has died last evening due to cancer.

Rajjat Barjatya was the brother of popular filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, with whom Salman has given so many blockbuster movies like Maine Pyar Kia (1989), Hum Apke Hain Kon (1994), Hum Sath Sath Hain (1999) and most recently Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).

Salman took to his Twitter handle and mourns on the death of his beloved friend. Along with a picture of during Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s shooting, Salman pays his tribute with a tweet that reads, Rest in peace my brother Rajjat Barjatya.

Along with Salman, whole industry shocked with the sudden death of Rajjat, who was admitted in Mumbai’s Jaslok hospital for the past 12 days. He was passed away yesterday evening. He has left behind his wife and two children.

Rajjat, who was suffered from Leukemia, a form of cancer few year ago but fought back bravely but this time he lost the battle from one of the dangerous diseases on the earth.

Rajjat is known as the transformer for Rajshri Production House, which at once lost its credibility due to high-end competition in the digital market of film production. He created and with the help of digitalization, Rajshri becomes most viewed video channel on YouTube with 10 million views in 2009.

With the hard work and excellency of Rajjat, Rajshri has now more than 100’s of digital video platforms and around 20000 hours of video content in Rajshri’s digitally equipped library.

Rajshri’s last production venture Prem Ratan Dhan  Payo has grossed more than 250 crore worldwide and currently placed in Top 10 highest grossing Bollywood film of all time.

Rajshri Production was found by Sooraj and Rajjat’s grandfather Late Tarachand Barjatya and started off with superhit film Dosti (1994), which won several Filmfare Awards along with National Film Award for the Best Film.
