Here comes a big news for the fans of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit. This iconic pair, who once got so much popularity with their mind-blowing chemistry will be back together on 70 mm screens after 19 years.
Well, Sanjay’s good friend and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra with whom he has given some blockbusters like Munna Bhai MBBS (2004) and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) has finalized a script and he wants this pair to onboard for the film.
According to the close source related to the project, the title of the film will be Marco Bhau and Sanjay will play the character of a father in the film. Obviously, Madhuri will be seen as his on-screen wife.
Marco Bhau will be directed by Vidhu’s sister Shailee Chopra and it will be based on the relationship of a father and daughter. Vidhu Vinod is also in touch with Athiya Shetty and Alia Bhatt to play their daughter in the film.
The reports are also coming in that Marco Bhau will be the Hindi film adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s written popular story Kabuliwala and Minni. Currently, it is in writing stage and once the script will be ready, it will go on the floors at the end of 2016.
It is known that Sanjay and Madhuri once considered as one of the best on-screen pairs of 1980’s and 90’s. Both had seen in some hit films like Saajan (1992) and Khalnayak (1993).
It was also said that Sanjay was in the relationship with Madhuri for quite some time and at once they was supposed to get marry but then Sanjay was convicted in Mumbai’s serial blasts of 1993 and Madhuri parted her ways with him.
They were last seen in a film was way back in 1997 in a film called Mahaanta and if this is true, then this pair will be seen after 19 years.
