Sultan 1st week box office collections: becomes 6th all time highest Bollywood grosser

Alia Abbas Zafar’s wrestling based romantic-drama Sultan has completed its first week (extended) at the box office. In this 9 days week, Sultan has broken every possible record. It has now reached to Rs 229.16 crore in its kitty and becomes 6th all time highest Bollywood grosser.

On its 9th day, when every other film used to get towards downfall, Sultan has held steady. Although, for the very first time of its entire duration, a single day collections got down below 10 crore range but then it is filmy Friday and Great Grand Masti has found some screens at the major circuits.

Sultan has collected Rs 9.52 crore on Thursday, that is a brilliant sign for the makers. The very important thing to note down is that Sultan has not seen any big fall out as usually does in weekdays. From Monday to Thursday, Sultan has nurtured Rs 48.80 crores, that is something beyond the thinking.

From day one of its release, there have been so many records left behind by Sultan and yesterday too, it had got past to the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express (Rs 227 crore) and become 6th all time highest grossing Hindi film.

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer are also now 4th highest worldwide grosser (Rs 423.32 crore) by surpassing the numbers of Chennai Express (Rs 422 crore). It has now three big contenders including Dhoom 3  (Rs 542 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 626 crore) and PK (Rs 792 crore), which is an uphill task for Sultan.

Well, we have now short of words to express the greetings to this biggest grossing movie of 2016. The next big tasks in front of  Sultan is to cross the collections of Dhoom 3 (Rs 284 crore) and then eyes on 300 crore club.

By today onwards, as the second weekend is on its way, the collections of Sultan would surely  pop up above 10 crore and it is interesting to see to see whether it will enter 250 crore club over the next two days.

    Salman khan is the king of bollywood,no one is there front of u so much ma blesses always wid u salman….
