Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan has crossed Rs 270 crores at the Indian box office. Sultan 2nd Tuesday box office collections brought in Rs 3.72 crores ($0.56 million) and took the total to Rs 271.03 crores ($40.74 million)
Yesterday was Sultan’s 14th day in the office and still it’s been the first choice for the movie lovers as currently there is not any good movie in the house, so people are generally preferring to watch Sultan over others.
Sultan has now grossed Rs 515.77 crores ($77.53 million) from worldwide and on the way to chase down the lifetime total of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 which had finished its run with Rs 542 crores ($ 81.47 million).
In India, Sultan is now few crores away from the total collections of Dhoom 3– Rs 284 crores ($42.69 million) and by the end of this weekend, it will become 3rd highest Bollywood grosser of all time after PK- Rs 340 crores ($ 51.11 million) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan- Rs 320 crores ($48.1 million).

But the much bigger question is that whether Sultan would break the record of PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan or enter 300 crore club?
According to with the current scenario, despite this kind of fantastic run, it is very difficult and almost impossible for Sultan to become all time highest grosser as the every passing day, the collections are getting on lower side and to enter 300 crore club, Sultan has still required around 30 crores ($ 4.51 million), which is very difficult task for this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial.
But the pleasing thing to Sultan is that it will have one more week after this weekend because there is no big film is releasing this week, so Sultan will get some more footfalls until 29th of July when Varun Dhawan and John Abraham starrer Dishoom is arriving.
Also, the number of screens for Sultan has now slashed heavily from 4350 to 1500 in India, which shows that most of the people have already watched the film.
