Salman Khan starrer action-romantic drama Sultan has collected Rs 16 Lakhs on its 5th Monday i.e. 34th day. Now, its total box office collections have reached to Rs 299.90 crore.
Now, it is sure that Sultan would very soon touch the magical figure of 300 crore. With the current trend, Ali Abbas Zafar’s sports-drama will definitely cross the mark by today itself.
Overall, Sultan would become the third film to enter 300 crore club after Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 340 crore) and Salman’s own film Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320 crore). So, for Salman, this could be a double bonanza as he will be the only actor who has two 300 crore film.
For Anushka too, this would be her second film after PK to achieve this feat and she is also the only lucky actress in the B-Town to do so.
If we talk about the pace with which these three films crossed this mark is also very interesting. PK, currently leads the table after surpassed this feat in just 17 days of its release.
After that, Bajrangi Bhaijaan got past this figure in 20 days. Interesting thing is that both Aamir and Salman was 49 years old at the time of this achievement. Sultan would probably take 34 days to end the wait of the audience.
Sultan’s worldwide collections at present stands at Rs 580.67 including 162.10 crores from overseas market and Rs 418.57 crore grossed from India.
Now, it is interesting to see how much more could sultan get in the next two days before two big films Rustom and Mohenjo Daro would end its run at the box office.
