Sultan is the story about a Haryana based guy Sultan Ali Khan (Salman Khan) starts dreaming to become a wrestler after watching Aarfa (Anushka Sharma), who is a fantastic wrestler. He also falls in love with her but Aarfa will only marry to a wrestler which motivates Sultan to be a wrestler.

After that lots of ups and down comes in the story which immensely affect the personal and professional life of Sultan and finally because of a reason, Sultan have to fight in the ring and his journey of becoming top wrestler begins.

During his battle, a Delhi based businessman Aakash (Amit Sadh) and his coach (Randeep Hooda) helps him to achieve his goal. Now the question is that whether Sultan able to proof himself to the world and become champion wrestler? This you would know after watching the film.

Although, the story of Sultan is very simple which tells you the journey of a wrestler but it is a bit too long and there are lots of incidents happens back to back with present and flashback. You could gets bore for while after the interval but the wonderful locations with superb cinematography connects you to the heart of the film. Salman’s presence in the middle is enough to mesmerize the audience but the fine tuned action sequences would feel good to you.

Despite the huge box office success with his every film, Salman Khan is also known for not giving too much attention to the quality of script as he has the most number of fan following around the world but it has now been showing that from his last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he is doing quality projects.

Sultan is also another instance of his hard work reflecting after watching the film. Going by his words, Salman has really given his best to the film and this will be the biggest Eid gift to his mad lovers.

Anushka as Aarfa has done fantastic job and she looks superb as wrestler and as a lover. The rest of the star cast has also honestly played their part and specially the Haryanvi accent catch up by Salman and Anushka is simply magnificent.

Low Points:

The only drawback in Sultan, as I said earlier is, it’s running length, which I think is lengthy and should had edited to make short and crispy. However, this will not stop Sultan to get the biggest opening ever at the box office and due to an extended 5 days weekend, the collections would go beyond limits.

The soundtracks of Sultan composed by Vishal-Shekhar has already been popular among the fans and it will add even extra glare to the box office numbers.

Last Words:

A Salman Khan film never depends on reviews and it is not worth to criticize his films as it always become blockbusters but I must say that story wise and performance wise, Sultan is treat to watch and even, who doesn’t love his films should go and watch once for wrestling sport.

My Rating for Sultan is 3 out of 5 stars.
