Director Abhishek Sharma is back again with the sequel of his hit comedy film Tere Bin Laden (2010). Tere Bin Laden was really appreciated by the people because of its perfect timing and the meaningful story. Now, after 6 years, the makers have come up with its sequel with the mix of previous start cast and some new faces. Let’s see whether, they have again given smile into the audience faces or not.
The first few minutes shows how Tere Bin Laden was made. Director tries to reconnect the people with the prequel. There is a guy played by Manish Paul, who wants to do something big. His father is a confectioner. One day he comes to Mumbai and met with Pradhuman Singh. Manish makes him Laden and they both together make a film Tere Bin Laden, which becomes hit.
After that they prepare its sequel but in between real Osama Bin Laden was killed. On the other hand, American President Barack Obama has lots of pressure to unveil the evidence regarding his death. There is a terrorist organization lead by Piyush Mishra who has a threat about his illegal weapons business after Osama’s death. Then all the eyes are on duplicate Osama and in this way the whole story goes on.
Manish Paul, Sikander Kher and Piyush Mishra have tried their best to give light moments but by the end of first half the film goes slow and the story get vanished. Director Abhishek seems to be confused regarding its end and it cleary shows that he lacks a good script.
Manish Paul is a successful anchor and as an actor he has given his best to showcase his acting skills. Sikander Kher as English Hollywood director entertains really well and Piyush Mishra as usually singlehandedly overpower the other actors in the film. Pradhuman Singh as Laden does similar what he did in the previous part and rest of all has done just average.
Overall Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive is a light hearted comedy film but lacks a good story. In a comedy film too, there is a need of tight script which makes people stick to the rhythm of the film. While its first part had done exceptionally well at the box office too but I have a doubt that this part might short behind what Tere Bin Laden did. Watch this at your risk.
My Rating to Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive is 2 out of 5 stars.
