Himesh Reshammiya is a versatile personality. Originally he is a music composer and singer. His songs at one point of time had been the best to hear and being in top. Later on, he became actor and made several films like Aap Ka Surroor (2007), Karz (2008), Radio and The Xpose (2012). All these films had not done even better at the box office, but still Himesh had not felt low and coming back once again with a new film Teraa Surroor. Whether this film would establish him as an actor or not? Let’s see how this film is.
The story of Teraa Surroor revolves around Raghu (Himesh) and Tara (Farah). Raghu is basically a gangster but when Tara comes into her life, he changes a lot and fall in love with her. Due to some issues, Tara has to leave for Dublin where she trapped in a case. Then Raghu reached Dublin to find her and in this way, the story moves forward. In between, various unbelievable incidents happen. Now, whether Raghu will bring back Tara from Dublin to Mumbai or not? What is the climax of the film? To know this, you have to watch the film.
Although this is a thriller but frankly speaking the suspense in the film couldn’t get you glued to your seats. The moment you wait throughout the film would upset you in the end. This film need to have much better climax than this. There are many loopholes in the script which you could easily recognize during the film. Besides some outstanding actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi and Shekhar Kapur, they have not been used according to their abilities.
About the performances, all the actors including the senior lot have done tremendous work. Debutant Farah Karimi is looking promising in her first film. Himesh has given his best again but due to lack of tight script, he couldn’t do more than this.
Teraa Surroor is certainly a good effort by the director but as I said earlier that there are lots of areas if could be handled well, then this might become much better than this. If you are a big fan of Himesh and his films, certainly you would not miss the film but if not than save your money for the next week.
My rating to Teraa Surroor is 2 out of 5 stars.
