Toilet: Ek Prem Katha – Title of Akshay Kumar’s new film

Yes, you heard it right. Toilet Ek Prem Katha is the title of the new film signed by Akshay Kumar. The film will go on the floors in November this year.

The stars of Akshay Kumar are currently on sky high. His recent release crime-thriller Rustom, in which he played the role of an Indian Naval Commander Rustom Pavri, is rocking at the box office. Rustom has crossed the 100 crore mark in 9 flat days and becomes Akshay’s fastest film to do so.

This year of 2016 completely belongs to this Khiladi Kumar as Rustom is his third back to back 100 crore grosser of the year after Airlift (Rs 127.80 crores) and Housefull 3 (Rs 108 crores).

Akshay is among the few actors who takes up 3 to 4 films in a year and becomes a profitable man for the producers. Recently, we informed you about his next film Crack with Neeraj Pandey to be released on Independence Day of 2017.

Now, Akshay has given one more gift to his fans after signing a fresh film titled Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. This film will be a light-hearted comic social drama to be directed by Neeraj Pandey and will be based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Campaign.

This will be the fifth collaboration of Akki with Neeraj Pandey after Special 26 (2013), Baby (2015), Rustom (2016), Crack (2017). Akshay will start the shoot for the film from November 2016 and will be wrapped up by January 2017.

According to the sources, Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) famed Bhumi Pednekar will play the female lead opposite Akshay in the film.

At present, Akshay is the busiest actors of the B-Town. He is currently shooting for Jolly LLB 2 in Lucknow which will be released on 10th February 2017. After this, he will finish the remaining part of Robot 2.0 in which he is playing the main antagonist.

Then, he will move forward with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and then to start shooting for Neeraj Pandey’s Crack.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is slated to hit the screens in the middle of 2017.
