1- Vande Matram (Anand Math)

Vande Matram was the first official and oldest patriotic song of Hindi films. The song is from Hemen Gupta’s 1952 patriotic-historical film Anand Math starring Prithviraj Kapoor and Geeta Bali. Vande Matram was taken from a popular inspiring poem from Bankim Chandra Chaattopadhyay’s 1882 novel Anandmath. Singing Goddess of India Lata Mangeshkar was given her iconic voice to this song that was composed by Hemant Kumar Mukhopadyaya.
