Varun Dhawan replaced Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy (2017)

This is confirmed that Ranveer Singh is not doing Zoya Akhtar‘s next film Gully Boy and reportedly young chocolaty actor Varun Dhawan replaced Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy (2017).

Top female director Zoya Akhtar is going to direct a film based on Mumbai street rapper named Gully and Ranveer Singh was the first choice of filmmakers but due to his busy schedule with Yash Raj Films, he can’t do this film.

Gully Boy will be directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by her brother and actor Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. There were rumors that Sara Ali Khan will debut through this film and later it confirmed that she is not debuting and now Ranveer Singh who was confirmed for a long time, is not doing this film. So Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy can face the problem of delaying.

According to sources, Ranveer Singh was excited to doing this project and he loved the script but due to his another project with Yash Raj Films, he had left Gully Boy. Shimit Amin, who is highly acclaimed for making Sports Drama Chak De India (2007), the director is directing a romantic drama for Bollywood’s new superstar and Bajirao Ranveer Singh is currently ruling the cinema.

Ranveer Singh chooses Shimit Amin instead Zoya Akhtar and Shimit Amin’s film is producing by Yash Raj Films, obviously, he can’t say no to filmmaker Aditya Chopra, their most awaited romantic drama Befikre (2016) is coming soon on 9th of December.
