Veteran Bollywood Actress Reema Lagoo passes away at 59

One of the most loved Bollywood Moms, Veteran Bollywood Actress Reema Lagoo passes away at 59 due to Cardiac Arrest. She was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai and survived by her daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo.

Reema Lagoo was married to Vivek Lagoo who is also an actor, later they got separate in 2014 but didn’t change her surname Lagoo. Their only child Mrunmayee Lagoo is also an actress. Her motherly roles are unmatched, will be missed.

She played mother of all superstars of current time and worked in several successfull films including Maine Pyar Kiya (1990), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1991), Vaastav: The Reality (2000), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Hum Tum Aur Mom: Mother Never Misguides (2005), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain (2000).

The actress received four Filmfare awards for her fine supporting roles in films Maine Pyar Kiya (1990), Aashiqui (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1995), Vaastav: The Reality (2000).

Many politicians, celebrities, and sports personalities posted messages of Condolences on twitter. Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Rishi Kapoor, Kunal Kohli, Virendra Sehwag to Mohammad Kaif tweeted for favorite Maa.

Nobody can forget her role as Salman Khan’s mother in Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She played a mother of stars like Govinda in Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain, Sanjay Dutt in Vastav, Ajay Devgn in Dilwale, Akshay Kumar in Yeh Dillagi, Juhi Chawla in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

The actress complained chest pain at midnight and admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai at 1:00 AM. She was currently appearing in a television serial Naamkaran at star Plus.

Reema Lagoo took her last breath at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital at morning 3:15 Am. May her soul rest in peace.
