Ace Indian filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s short film Mumbai Mist received an amazing response at BRICS Film Festival in China. This is a heart touching story of an old man faces loneliness after the retirement. None other than fine actor Annu Kapoor nailed this character in the film.

National Film Award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar is best known for his different and subjective filmmaking. Now he represents India on 22 June through his short film Mumbai Mist in BRICS Film Festival and got the standing ovation.

This one minute of the trailer shows promising Annu Kapoor as an old man and his affection toward an orphan ragpicker kid plays by child artist Master Devrath. Parvin Dabas, Jonita Doda, and Jitin Sippy are playing important roles.

Amar Mohile has given music to this heartwarming short film. The popular old song Awara Hoon from Raj Kapoor’s most popular movie Awara (1956) is soothing in the background.

The short film Mumbai Mist revolves around an old man living and struggling his post retirement life. Once he meets to a slum kid and become friends, hang out and friendship grew as time passes but a huge age difference is a barrier of their beautiful bond.

Madhur Bhandarkar’s next Hindi feature film is Indu Sarkar is also looking impressive, will release soon on 28th of July this year. Indu Sarkar is about a lady fights against the system, sets of Emergency time period declared by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
