1990’s most popular action hero Ajay Devgn is regarded as one of the skilled actors of Indian cinema, who has won several awards for unmatched performances and received Padma Shri for his contribution to the Indian cinema, the fourth-highest civilian award given by Government of India.

National award-winning actor Ajay Devgn was born on 2 April 1969 in New Delhi. His real name is Vishal, was born from action film director and stunt choreographer Veeru Devgn and homemaker Veena Devgn.

The most interesting unknown fact about Ajay Devgn is, he never planned to be an actor, it was coincident that Phool Aur Kante (1991) director was debuting in Hindi Cinema and searching for a new face for his first film, once he visited Veeru Devgn’s house to get suggestions for actor in Phool Aur Kante, fortunately, Kuku Kohli’s eyes went on Ajay Devgn.

Kuku Kohli immediately decided to cast Ajay Devgn as the lead male opposite of Madhubala Raghunath, well known as Madhoo also debuted through Phool Aur Kante while she worked before in a Tamil Film Azhagan (1991).

So, Ajay Devgn debuted through Kuku Kohli directed action film Phool Aur Kaante (1991) and the film became the biggest hit of Ajay Devgn that time, noticed for action sequences choreographed by Ajay’s father Veeru Devgn and songs including Dheere Dheere Pyar Ko Badhana Hai, Maine Pyaar Tumhi Se Kiya Hai, and Premi Aashiq Aawaara made this film Super Hit.

Ajay Devgn who put a condition that after failing in the project Phool Aur Kante, he will never work in Film Industry while he received Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and became so popular actor for brilliant performance in the film and stunt balancing on two moving motorbikes.

In 1992, he leads another action film Jigar opposite of Karishma Kapoor and this film also became successful. The superstar became well-known face after these two hits, leads eight movies in 1993 and failed to get the same response.

After continuously 8 flops in 1993, Ajay Devgn had nice come back with Harry Baweja directed action romance Dilwale (1994), in the same year Vijaypath, Suhaag also became the hit.
